The Southeast District is the largest district of Tau Beta Sigma, consisting of 38 chapters representing North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Membership Education Retreat (MER) is slowly approaching us! MER is an opportunity for you to learn more about different facets of membership education as well as learn leadership skills to take back to your chapter. MER will be held virtually on December 14 and 15. Here’s what you should expect each day. Stay tuned for more details about each workshop block! And keep reading for a fun surprise...

We’re having a raffle! Our winner will receive a hand-painted paddle, customized just for you (but of course, Shells-themed to honor our favorite turtle in the SED). Entering is simple: just register for MER using the link in our bio!
Do you REALLY want that paddle? We have some opportunities for bonus entries, starting now: share this post to your story and tag us for an extra entry, and tag a friend in the comments for one additional entry per comment. Additionally, those of you who attend both days of MER will receive an additional entry.

We have a lot of things that are due TODAY! If you are taking a Spring Line, you need to submit your Spring MEP today. EVERY CHAPTER needs to submit their Fall Activity Report TODAY! If you took a Fall Line, you need to ensure that your Initiate Registration Form is submitted within 30 days of Third Degree as stated in your Fall MEP. If y’all have any questions please get in contact with one of your 5 District Council Members. We are always here to help.

It’s timeeeee! Our second mini CMEP of the week is here! This CMEP aims to encourage us to embody the second principle of Tau Beta Sigma. If you would like, we encourage you to shout out those amazing individuals as a means to honor them. You can either repost this post on your story and tag them or tag them in the comments!

The Fall Activity Report (FAR) is a comprehensive report that includes all of the amazing things that your chapter did between May 1st and November 1st. The national deadline for this report is December 1st. The SED chapters were challenged to have this completed by November 15th.

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to the eight chapters who completed the SED FAR Early Bird Challenge! 🎉

With this, you are to submit your chapter’s constitution and budgets via the google for located in the Discord. Hello SED. Today is the day! Our Chapter Personnel Reports are due by 11:59pm. If your are not marked as green, you need to reach out to your District President ASAP for a status update. If you are still in draft, we need to get a move on it quickly. We do not want any late fees or fines because of tardiness.

#BeTheLeader This week is National Hazing Prevention Week. Hazing holds lasting effects on a person’s mental and physical wellbeing. Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority will take a stand against hazing in our organization and in our band community. This week, we wear purple but, we will always stand against hazing.
