The Southeast District is the largest district of Tau Beta Sigma, consisting of 38 chapters representing North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Howday SED! We are about one week away from the Red Stripe being due. For Red Stripe completion, you submit a photo of your “Take a Stand” card on the discord. With this, you are to submit your chapter’s constitution and budgets via the google for located in the Discord. If you have any questions, please contact your District VPSP Siobahan Berrian or your District Sec-Treas Nicole Deloach!

Hello SED. Today is the day! Our Chapter Personnel Reports are due by 11:59pm. If your are not marked as green, you need to reach out to your District President ASAP for a status update. If you are still in draft, we need to get a move on it quickly. We do not want any late fees or fines because of tardiness.

#BeTheLeader This week is National Hazing Prevention Week. Hazing holds lasting effects on a person’s mental and physical wellbeing. Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority will take a stand against hazing in our organization and in our band community. This week, we wear purple but, we will always stand against hazing.

Join us on Tuesday, July 23rd at 5:30pm Central/6:30pm Eastern to hear about what committees do, how to join them, and be able to ask any questions you may have! The applications for committees close on Tuesday, July 29th at 11:59pm. If you have the slightest interest in joining a district committee, be sure to hop on our zoom call. Information will be sent through the band channel (hint, hint, join the band app😊😊)

The two committees you can be a part of on the District level are the Continuing Membership Education Program (CMEP) and the Social Media committees. In both committees, you will be able to network with sisters from different chapters across the district, develop technological skills (like using Google Drive and Canva), as well as allow your district officers hear your opinions as to what your chapter would like to see across the district.

The Committee applications will be open until July 29th at 11:59pm. If you have any specific questions about what the committee does (for example the time commitment for the committee) please message one of your district officers! You can also tune into a workshop that will be hosted later this month where we will discuss some questions you all have. We are always happy to help!

(Pro Tip: Even if you are not 100% sure about serving on a district committee, still fill out an application! You never know if you don’t try)

As we close out Pride Month, the SED would love to remind each and everyone of you to always UNAPOLOGETICALLY be your true and authentic self! We love and thank you for being you🤍🤍🤍🤍

Gentle reminders, the Early Bird deadline for the SED (meaning that you will be recognized for your early submission) is July 20th. All Fall MEP’s are due on August 1st. The earlier you get your MEP submitted and approved the earlier you can begin recruitment! If you have any questions, contact your District VPM🤍💙

Southeastern District, the summer has been phenomenal to say the least! 100% completion of the SAR🫢…heavy involvement in the Focus on Five campaign🤭… Trust and believe we are super proud of each and every one of you all! So, you might be asking what’s next?

Begin to submit your MEP’s for the Fall semester. Contact your local VPM to inform them!

Begin planning your next year. This includes how you plan for your chapter to improve the next school year. This can include creating the next year’s budget, planning for the next Fo5 events, and other chapter decisions that will make for a smooth school year!

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to the eleven chapters who completed the SED SAR Early Bird Challenge! 🎉

The Spring Activity Report (SAR) is a comprehensive report that includes all of the amazing things that chapters did between November 1st and May 1st. The national deadline for this report is June 1st. The SED chapters were challenged to have this completed by May 15th. Over 25% of the district was able to complete this challenge! 🍍 Please help us in congratulating these chapters! 🤍💙
